Born to Mr. Ramani Kanta Sharma and Mrs. Lokhimi Devi, Jatin Sharma was raised in a beautiful and sleepy town of Dergaon in the upper reaches of Assam. Radio was the only techonlogical blessing duting those times in those regions and it provided solace to many as the only form of entertaintment. Folk music and early melodies soon became a regular diet in his curriculum of activities. Music commanded much attention from him and he further instigated the virus of learning while he probed and investigated the bewildering world of sound.

After many gruelling days to save some money during his early days, he invested in his first guitar which he had to acquire from a neraby town as his own hometown was void of any musical shop.

A few formal lessons in playing the sitar further confirmed his fatal attraction towards music. Hailing form a middle class background, music hardly finds encouragement among social peers as a serious career option. This is primarily due to the economics and uncertainity of the profession rather than critisism.

A good student, Mr Sharma exhibited an exceptional aptitude for science realted topics. A base foundation that would help him shape his destiny. His maternal uncle, an engineer, got him hooked to electronics and Jatin was soon playing around the fine lines of ciruitry. Some "do-it-youself" projects with his brother hepled him construct his first radio, his first and the begining of his journey towards techincal excellence. An under developed region in those times, availability of electronics as a part of regular and professional life was scarce. However he managed to develop gizmos and gadgets to tweak sounds out of his electric guitar.

By the time he was in his adolescence, his liking as a kid had metamorphised into an insatiable desire to learn more about the true nature of sound and it's derivatives. During his second year in college, he took up a job in a recording studio in Guwahati owned by Mr. Bhupen Uzir, a pionneer of recording techinques and almost legendary in his field of expertise. An apt pupil, Mr Sharma made the exchange of knowledge more seamless. An occurance by chance made him land in Mumbai, the city of dreams, although he has headed towards Chennai. Taking this destiny call, Mr Sharma decided to stick around and explore the city and exploit his talents.

His personal extensions include his wife, and his two sons.

While very few individuals will be lucky to blend personality into profession, Mr Sharma has managed his own space in the recording industry of India. His enthusiasm for new sounds and techniques had come to play a pivotal part in his works and music. He found his creative space in the cold marriage of old tunes with new sounds more commonly known as REMIXES. His works found its way to its audience and his remixes could be heard in every nightclubs, discos and pubs. An unviversal appeal in his remixes soon made his one of most sought after professional in the industry.
